People around the world is trying to aid Myanmar and China, countries which were greeted by undefeatable mother nature on 2 and 12 May. Is this the sign that 'the end of the day' is approaching? Last night after watching anime "Gundam Seed", an anime about humanity and war, something came into my mind.
People started war; people started helping; people started hurting mother nature and at the same time healing mother nature. Ironic?? What are we trying to achieve? Balance? When we lose we gain? If old doesn't go new doesn't come? Does this apply to the world we are living in? If it is about bringing the world to a peaceful and healthy environment, why are people fighting for power in order to accomplish that very task? Does what we are is going to affect what we are doing for the sake of a better world? We people talk about saving the world by recycling bla bla bla, but on the other side we are doing the different thing. Wars going on, protest going on...... Do all these save the world? When something unfortunate happened to people around us, only then we will start to realise what is the right thing we should do or perhaps that we should have appreciated it more. Do we have to wait until the 'end of the day' is infront of our very own eyes then only we try to do something about it or cry at the corner and regret?
Many incidents have occured yet people still don't care. Tsunami, Cyclone Nargis, impossible earthquake that happened to unexpected places, all these aren't enough to wake people whom they the say have the "sharp and intelligent brain"?
We always say that we want to create a better environment for our next generation, but we are doing the opposite thing. Things are getting worse as we live. Babies or even infants died in recent nature disaster. How long do you think they actually have seen the world or even enjoyed it? They probably wouldn't want to have lived in a world which is full of anger. Everyday, we are afraid of being robbed, assasinated...... We live in fear. Do we actually prefer the world to be like this?
Movies like Resident Evil, The Day After Tomorrow, etc, have been a warning to us people. Yet, have we taken it in? I don't think so. We are too 'busy' to take it in. We rather protest against the country which is going to host Olympic Games or even quarrel among the parliaments. Go ahead and try to make the country strong and wealthy. Enlarge your territory, take time to vote for a 'better' and 'reliable' leader. When 'the end of the day' comes, you can survive longer. Even for a few days will do you the favour. Or maybe you are waiting for the day to come so that you can show your people what are you capable of until you can change the world and show the people that they have made the right choice voting you. What a GOOD strategy.
